Details

Country Cats Rescue is a small no-kill, volunteer-run 501(c)3 organization which is a foster-based, feline-only rescue group. Our mission is to find loving, permanent homes for cats and kittens in Spotsylvania County, Fredericksburg and surrounding areas in Virginia. We do not have a shelter and rely on a group of dedicated foster homes to care for our felines until a "fur-ever" home can be found. All of our cats and kittens are fully vetted, tested, vaccinated, and spayed or neutered. They come from area shelters, managed colonies, abandoned strays, and from people who can no longer care for them. We actively promote education about spaying and neutering, trap-neuter-return (TNR) for feral cats and best practices in companion animal care.

Country Cats Rescue strongly supports education on the benefits of a good nutritional diet for our felines. Our rescue promotes and provides a sound nutritional diet for our foster kittens and cats. We avoid all cat food products with ingredients such as meat by-products, corn, soy or wheat! Our feline family are carnivores by nature and they must have the protein and moisture content that a raw or quality canned food diet provides to help promote healthy lives. It is our promise to our rescue felines to give advice and educate our adopters about the importance of a raw or quality cannned food diet, and the need to continue a good nutritional diet for their lifetime.
