TaraSun is a place where animals come who have been abandoned, abused, are ill or simply hungry and need respite, peace and rehabilitation. A 501(C)3, non-profit, it has been offering rescue and spay/neuter since 1995 and a home to animals in need since 1999.
By offering home prepared, species-appropriate food, most animals thrive simply with proper nutrition. We have been raw feeders since 1996.
Our perpetual hope is to find a loving, forever home when the animal is healed and ready. Animals that do not find the unique home they seek are welcome to stay here in our retreat for the extent of their lives and hospice is offered for their peaceful transition as their journey here on earth ends.
Located in Sonoma County, Northern California, TaraSun is open by appointment only.
