Dogma Bakery is more than just baked treats. They bake their hand-made dog treats in-store with no salt, sugar or preservatives and they make their own doggie ice cream. Dogma Bakery also carries a good selection of natural food products and raw diets. They are active in the local rescue community and hold adoption and fundraising events regularly. Grooming and pet supplies are also available.

Dogma opened its doors in Arlington, Virginia in November, 2000. Jackson and Truman Hogan made great dog ambassadors for the Dogma brand and were great helpers in the store. Bailey (pictured) continues to oversee operations and determine whether the treats pass the "sniff test."
Dogma is committed to providing the local community with a unique selection of products and outstanding customer service that you may not find in a "big box" store. We strive to be a community resource and advocate for responsible breeding and for animal adoption. We support many local rescues and our local shelter by holding animal adoptions and fundraisers on a regular basis.
We bake our treats in our store and use only human-grade ingredients. We do not add salt, sugar or preservatives of any kind. No fancy colored frosting on our treats, just cream cheese or yogurt with vegetable dyes made from spinach, beets or blueberries. We add carob, carrots, and cranberries in some of our treats … and we make our own ice cream too!
We carry a full line of dog and cat foods, including raw frozen and dehydrated diets. Plus toys, beds, supplies and treats for cats and dogs and gifts for humans, too!
Come see us at either store with your dog and stay and chat awhile. We're your neighborhood store and look forward to ten more years!
